ICELAND in winter

Scotland is a well-known country for its desolated barren lands and its immense treeless moors.
Here the Gulf Stream hits the landscape with all its power, raging winds of rare intensity and abundant rainfall.
These natural winds prevent shrubs to grow in many geographical areas. Nevertheless, some of them challenge the weather and survive throughout the times, becoming real icons. Furthermore, in specific areas, there have grown forests and woods of great fascination. This portfolio, built up in several years of travel and photography, shows the essence and the charm of the Scottish trees and woodlands. A vision, that beyond spanning throughout the four seasons, includes shapes, colours and passion.
All these factors entangled by light, the northern one, able to elevate these stoic survivors as never seen before.
